Sound
I love the sound of this banjo. I play three finger style. It is very loud. It can over power most of the instruments in our group. I used several types of strings before settling on Elixir. You should experiment also to find what suits you. |

Setup
It was set up very well when purchased. I tightened the arch top head to suit me. No other work was needed. It is very easy to set up if needed as it has duel coordinater rods. |

Reliability
The hardware seems to be well made. I do not personally like the clamshell tailpiece, but it is very adequate. I have not changed it. It may be something I learn to live with. an easy change out if not. |

Customer Service
I have not needed to talk to Morgan Monroe company. The Guitar Shoppe has handled any problems I have had with other brand instruments in the past and I believe they will continue to do so. It has a limited lifetime warranty. |

The arch top tone ring is the best. I've not found any other that I like better. The tuners seem to hold their tuning well. It is very loud, so I have to play it away from others if I'm practicing at home. It will penetrate the length of my home with out any trouble. |

Overall Comments
I would recommend this banjo to any one who wants a good sounding banjo without the high price of an American made. Current prices run in the $800 range and they are worth every penny. |
